A  gorgeous wedding at Hamilton Art Gallery!

The Hamilton Art Gallery is definitely one of our new favourite venues in the city to capture a wedding at. We had been here before about 10 years ago for my own sisters (jess) wedding, but hadn't had the opportunity to document one there yet until this past September, and boy was it an incredible day! 

Jenn + Doug have become great friends of ours over the years since Jen’s family booked us for a family session about 4 years ago, so it made their wedding day a little extra special to capture! Having known them, their families, and a good chunk of their friends now as well, it really made for such an exciting atmosphere throughout the day feeling so comfortable around so many familiar faces.

Starting the day at each of their parents houses, they were surrounded by their closest friends + parents for a chill getting ready morning together. Then meeting up at the local university, we found a quiet private area to capture their first look. Doing a first look before the wedding allowed us to get all the formal photos out of the way before heading back into the city for the ceremony + reception at the Art Gallery! Their day was filled with so much love and laughter - there wasn’t a dry eye in sight throughout most of the afternoon + evening as vows and speeches were shared together. 

With the CCMAS in full effect that evening, we snuck out into the busy Hamilton streets to chase the gorgeous blue hour lighting. We had so much fun running around the city goofing around - it made for a really fun break from the business that is a wedding day! Once photos were done we ran back inside to capture the rest of the evening's wild dancing and good times!! It truly was one for the books!
