How do you photograph weddings?
At Durand Studios we shoot all of our weddings as a team. We love being a husband and wife duo and being able to use our experience as a bride and groom to help our couples have the best day possible for their own weddings!
We will work side by side with you leading up to your wedding day to help guide you to create the best timeline possible for your special day! Ask us anything you want - we'll give you any and all the wedding advice throughout your time with us!
When will we get our photos?
For single sessions, you will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within 2 to 4 weeks [ 3-6 weeks during peak season] .
Wedding galleries will be delivered within 8-16 weeks of your date. Preview Galleries from wedding days are sent within 48 hours and contain a minimum of 50 images.
How long have you been a photography duo?
We began shooting in the fall of 2018 after our own wedding and countless sessions in-front of the camera ourselves! We turned all that "posing" knowledge into a real life business and never turned back! By the end of 2022 we'll have shot over 87 weddings together. We sure as heck love what we do and consider ourselves so lucky to work with so many incredible couples.
Where are you based and do you travel?
We are based in Burlington Ontario and will travel within 60 minutes of our home with no travel fees for weddings & 30 minutes for lifestyle sessions. Distances further than 30 / 60 minutes from Burlington require a travel fee of $0.50 / KM + accommodations if applicable.
Some couples have made the decision to get married in another province / country and this is super cool too! For destination weddings travel + accommodation would be required with approval of both the client and Durand Studios.
How many pictures will we receive?
For a single session, we can guarantee anywhere from 100-200 photos.
Wedding days we can guarantee a minimum of 75 photos per hour. The more decor provided / time you leave for your portraits will factor into how many photos will be delivered in your final gallery.
Why are engagement sessions included?
We believe engagement sessions are crucial in the wedding planning process and help to capture the best photos on your wedding day! Instead of asking couples to pay extra for an engagement session or choosing to opt-out, we've built them right into our packages (saving you $600 + HST) because they have a tremendous impact on the quality of your final wedding photos.
An engagement session allows the two of you to reconnect without distractions - but it also helps you get comfortable in front of the camera. Plus it gives us a chance to meet you and get to know you better! On the wedding day you’ll feel safe, comfortable, and ready to have fun with us, which makes your wedding photos that much better. We recommend scheduling a session for 8-12 months before the wedding and making a date night out of it!
